Super day
Mateo our guide was excellent very knowledgable about the areas history and the monastery. Real character very funny.
Made everybody so welcome cracking day would recommend.
Food was excellent and plenty of wine

Great trip with beautiful guide Mateo. One of the best days spend in Barcelona. Also tasty food and premiun vine was georgeous. Fully recommend.

Richard our guide was fantastic, so friendly and bubbly and gave us the perfect amount of info and guidance and free time to explore.

The lunch in the countryside was delicious, and watching the FIFA World Cup final in this little tapas restaurant with fellow tour people we just met is something I will never forget!

Our tour guide was Roger - we did many tours while in Barcelona and this guy was the one who stood out from other tour guides. He spoke about the history like if it was his first time, and he made everyone connect and interact which was pretty cool because on most tours you don't even get to know your group. Re: the tour itself - EPIC. Lunch at the Cellar was very delicious with everything being 100% organic - WOW. We ate like kings and queens. We also learned a lot of interesting facts about Catalonia! This tour gave us enough time to eat lunch (other tours we did we felt like lunch time was rushed) and then enough FREE time to take photos and hang out. I loved it!

Dont miss this trip!

Excellent trip. Mountains are spectacular. Monastery and church are spiritual. The chance to touch the Black Madonna was a blessing. Dinner was wonderful! Even cable car and I’m afraid of heights was fun

Our tour guide Pablo was excellent. The farmhouse restaurant was delicious. The monastery was beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

I'm writing this review 3 years after the visit. One thing that always comes back to my mind is the lunch. It was the best meal our group had in Barcelona during our 7 day mancation. The wine out of clay jar is simply delicious. The food are naturally good. The chicken, sausage, vegetables... seem to be locally sourced and they just prepare them minimally so they retain their unique tastes. We all agree that just the lunch alone is worth the trip.

No warning in Viator info page about walk to Cable Car ststions, steps in Cable Car stations, ramps and steps on Montserrat to get to the Monastery.

My booking was for a small group of max 8 persons as per the booking details. Instead we were in a bus with 17 persons. Felt cheated. The bus seats were cramped with low leg space. And which is not what we had bargained for.

Mateo the guide was more involved with a group of South Americans and generally ignored the 4 non Spanish speaking persons. One of the guests was particularly loud and over exuberant. At no stage did Mateo try to ask her to lower her volume. Rather he played along and encouraged her. The very limited details and information regarding Montserrat that was shared was disappointing. This amount even Lonely Planet has.

We had to wait 20 mins at the funicular station at the base as the bus was not there. What a waste of time.

The only saving grace was the beauty of the place and drive.
