A spectacular day trip from Barcelona exploring Girona, Pals and Calella. So much history combined with beautiful natrual scenery. Our guide Matt was a master at maintaining the small goup atmosphere and navigated away from large groups to keep the trip feeling uncrowded. A great lunch venue on the waterfront at Calella and enough free time to soak in the atmosphere of this special part of Spain. Thanks Matt for a day tip full of memories that will last a lifetime!

Fun sample of life in Spain outside the big city. Manu kept the group smiling and hustled all day to maximize our experience. Even clouds and showers didnât dampen the spirit of the group as shown in this picture at a bonus spot high atop Costa Brava.

We spent the day with Anatoli touring Girona and Costa Brava.
We loved seeing the Game of Thrones filming locations. Anatoli even pulled up the scenes on his phone from the show to compare what we were seeing. He took great pictures of those in our group. He was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. After the tour he followed up with restaurant recommendations and even returned my water bottle that I left in his van. Highly recommend.

If you want to escape the crowds in Barcelona, this is the perfect choice to visit 3 beautiful places.
I was picked up in a comfortable minivan at my hotel by our charming and extremely knowledgeable guide Anatoli at 8:30AM for this daylong tour.
First up was the very beautiful medieval city of Girona and it's many points of interest narrated by Anatoli. The stairs of the cathedral was a setting for the high drama of Game of Thrones as were other locations.
Anatoli ably describes all the historic locations and makes sure you get a picture of yourself in all of the beautiful settings
After Girona, we drove through the impressive countryside to the charming medieval village of Pals and then on to the gorgeous unspoiled Costa Brava to the fabulous seaside resort of Calella de Palafrugell, where I would be happy to spend a month. Beautiful coves with sandy beaches with the beautiful village and wonderful seafood restaurants and stores. We had more than enough time for a leisurely lunch and stroll and a swim if you like.
This is a true Mediterranean gem and NO high rise apartments which have spoiled so much of Spain's coast.
I highly recommend this and our terrific guide made it all so worthwhile and fun.
He had us back to our hotels by 6:30.

Anatoli was an amazing guide! He shared so much information at each stop. He was pleasant and thoughtful throughout the day with great suggestions of what to do in our free time. We had such a great experience. Also, we loved the pick up/drop off aspect of this tour. It made it so convenient! Canât recommend it enough!

Fantastic day with our guide Matt. We went to 3 towns, all unique and beautiful. Matt offers a great deal of history without too much...we had time to explore and a great lunch at the final stop (set up by Matt). I highly recommend this if you want to get out of the city for the day and add more to your trip.

You should definitely go for this tour if in Barcelona . Also would suggest you to go with Miquel as a guide . He is full of energy and makes the experience even better with his quirkiness and explanations

What a great day out!!! Matt was such a great guide, told us so much about the history and knowledge about Girona and Pals⊠and excellent recommendation for lunch at Costa Brava. Matt kept all of us entertained, extending help and was so attentive - especially to my 2 teens! Strongly recommend the tour, if u have a day to spend. Just a pity the weather wasnât quite blue, a little foggy. Minor recommendation, could be to extend time in Girona a bit more⊠but as they say, leaving a little more to discover in a place just means more to see the next round! Thanks again Matt!

The trip to Girona, Pals and Costa Brava was a most excellent and wonderful excursion in Catalunya. I had such a great time! Our tour guide, Matt was an excellent guide and host. If you are a history buff - this tour is for you. Matt gave great overviews of history and culture at each stop and his restaurant recommendation for our lunch stop was excellent. We were a group of eight, which is the perfect size and I met some interesting people from different parts of the world. Even in December, we had stunning views and the flower bushes were still in vibrant bloom. I highly recommend this excursion and this tour company.

We just got back from our Girona and Costa Brava tour. Our tour guide was Matt and I canât recommend him enough! He picked us up at our hotel. He gave us so much information as we traveled to our destinations. He pointed out the Pyrenees Mountains and so many highlights along our journey. Girona is stunning! A must see. Matt walked along with us to show us the area. He took us to the highest point in the city to see the most amazing views! After that, we had free time to explore. The meeting points were super clear and easy. Our next stop was Pals which was my favorite village in Spain so far. Again, Matt walked with us to give us all the history of the small medieval village. Then, we were off to one of the most incredible places Iâve ever been to. Costa Brava right on the Mediterranean Sea. We had lunch with an amazing view of the sea. Matt stayed to help us order and make sure everything was good to go. After an amazing lunch, we had some free time to enjoy the incredible views and beach. On our way back, Matt offered recommendations for bars and restaurants in Barcelona near our hotels. We were dropped off at our hotel. We had a small group of 6, four of which were myself and my children ages 22, 17 and 17. They loved every second of this trip and Matt! I highly recommend this tour and request Matt! You will love it.

Hegmanedah was an amazing guide and was knowledgeable of all the areas we visited, providing interesting facts and anecdotes that would not be readily available from a book. There were a total of seven in our group, and I appreciated getting picked up at our hotel. Our first stop was Girona, and it was an amazingly beautiful town; I could have spent the whole day there. We then went to Pals, which is a small medieval village with great photo opportunities. Our last stop was Calella de Palafrugell, which is a beautiful seaside town, where we had lunch and a chance to walk around. It was the off season for both Pals and Calella de Palafrugell, so most shops were closed, but there were also fewer tourists. Our group agreed that Girona was our favorite town, but we were glad we got to experience all three in one day. A great experience I would recommend!

Our tour guide Matt was excellent. He provided so much information on each of the places we visited. The stops were amazing, such beautiful scenery. The restaurant he recommended was delicious and he even helped us order. The day was perfect. I highly recommend this trip and hope you get Matt as your guide.
