Enjoyable cava and wine tastings

We visited two locations, both owned by the same family. The first location was Caves Pere Ventura. We took a tour of their cava cellar, in which millions of cava bottles are stored until ready for libation, typically 5-7 years of storage. The cellars were 3 levels below ground. The atmosphere was dark, humid, and cool…perfect conditions for cava fermentation. After the tour we sampled 4 cavas with snack pairings to compliment each one. We then took a bus to their second location Can Bas. Here is where we rode on their 4WD vehicles around the estate and able to see their production area. Truly gorgeous. We then sampled 2 white wines and 2 red wines with complimentary snacks. The staff were wonderful to converse with at both locations.

Trip is exactly as advertised. They did a great job and I would recommend it. The bus to the vineyard was very nice and clean. The jeep tour was short but good.

This is definitely an experience you don’t want to miss! Tour was filled with a history of each of the wineries, 4wd through one winery and walks through a cava celler. Our guides were each extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. I can’t say enough positive things about this tour. I highly recommend to anyone on a visit through Barcelona.

Absolutely loved this tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona! You get to visit two wineries owned by the same family - and get to see how both cava and still wines are made. All of the wines are such a treat!!! The tour of the jeep was a super nice touch
A convenient way to experience Penedes from Barcelona

This tour was a very convenient way for us to escape Barcelona to Penedes for a half day. It wasn't so much a end-to-end tour as it was transportation - via a comfortable minibus - to two wineries, where we were greeted by two different guides as we explored cava cellars and vineyards.
The tasting experience at each was very typical, but our tours and guides were incredibly informative, especially as we knew very little about the process for creating cava.
Overall: convenient transportation, a wealth of knowledge, and great wines, along with the opportunity to meet some new people from across the world.

We had such a great day with this your! Our guides Ava and Lia were enormously knowledgeable about the area’s history and the growing and winemaking processes - and personable too! The wine and food were both outstanding. The trips were on time and comfortable - we felt like every part of the tour was the perfect “timing” - not too little or too long. This one is well worth you time and money as a day trip from Barcelona, and back in more than enough time to relax before dinner.
A Must Do for Wine and Cava Lovers

Being wine collectors, I was a bit hesitant to book this tour but thankfully, I had nothing to worry about. It simply was AMAZING. From the Land Rovers to the meticulously manicured grounds, everything was stunning. To top it off, our guide Katherine was delightful. The wines and cavas were superb, and we were even able to purchase and ship back to US. I couldn’t have been happier with the trip.

This wine tasting experience ticked all the boxes. It was informative with an interesting insight into the history of this family owned vineyard, how (respectfully) they treat the wine and the attention to details in its entire process. The wines and cavas for tasting were beautiful and all thoughtfully paired with the tapas. The experience was further enhanced by minimalist elegance of the tasting rooms and the space within the buildings. The grounds were also meticulously well kept. We loved that it’s been kept in a small group. This was definitely one of the best wine tasting experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you for a great memory of Barcelona on the last day of our holidays.
